Insurance FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
As of March 2025 we accept select Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina Commercial insurance plans for Virtual Physical Therapy services for North Carolina residents only. Referrals are not required. Insurance can not be used for Virtual Physical Therapy services with providers that are not Jenna Justice, the Move With Me Membership, On-Demand Programs, or Hypermobility Coaching, even for North Carolina residents.
What plans do you accept?
Blue Value POS, Blue Care HMO, and all PPO and Indemnity plans. As names may change, review your insurance plan documentation to see if Physical Therapy (PT) services are covered. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid based plans.
Are you considered out-of-network if you don’t accept my plan or insurance?
Yes. Out-of-network benefits will vary with plan and insurance provider. If your plan covers Physical Therapy (PT) services and is not on the accepted list, we can provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We can not provide a Superbill for Medicare-based plans.
What is the difference between “Physical Therapy” and your other services?
Physical Therapy is a service provided by a medical professional usually to treat a medical condition such as an injury. This often, but not always, comes after a physician’s evaluation and an instruction to seek physical therapy. In NC we have “Direct Access” which allows individuals to begin physical therapy without a physician’s referral. In physical therapy, we will focus on your specific limitations to build a plan to help you meet your goals while taking into account your medical conditions. Jenna is trained as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and is able to prescribe a treatment plan to address your mobility concerns for existing medical conditions.
Other services may provide similar results in terms of strengthening muscles and increasing mobility, but they are more generic and less targeted to a specific individual and condition.
How do I use insurance for a Physical Therapy session?
You are responsible for determining your insurance coverage and benefits as well as if Physical Therapy (PT) is right for you before scheduling your appointment.
Book a PT appointment and complete your intake paperwork with insurance information.
Your copay is due at time of service. The cost is determined by your plan. We do our best to ensure there are no surprise charges but exact coverage amount may vary based on the approvals and determination from your insurance.
If you have a gap in your insurance coverage, you are responsible for the full cost of the session.
